Just wanted to say thanks for all the tips and ideas I have learned on this forum. Time to start a new job to secure a future for my family. With tear in my eye I have to put my bike up for sale. Again thanks for all the good information and honest opinions everyone offered.
Hope to see ya all somewhere down the road......
Well, as sorry as I am to hear you have to sell your bike, I do have to say congratulations on the new job! Seems as if getting a new job is a rarity now days. I wish you the best of luck my friend.
Well, It's a sad day having to sell your bike but as they say, "This too shall pass". Hopefully this new job will provide your and your family what you desire AND you can get another bike in the not too distant future. Just remember...your screen name is ybnormal67...this news sounds like it's turning you into normal67... Good Luck with whatever comes your way.
Man I have been out of work for over a year so it's great to hear of someone finding find something good for a change. When the time is right you can get another bike, family first! By the way, what type of back rest rack combination is that? Never seen that before but it looks like what I need.
Unfortunately I am going to have to something similar soon. Been wrenching at a local dealership for the past 3 years and this winter is killing me. Usually everyone gets laid off for a month or 2 rotating throughout the winter. This year they cut everyone except for the 3 that had been there the longest back in November with no return date set. I'm going to have sell at one of the bikes in the next couple months if something doesn't change. Good luck to you.
Been there, done that, on the "involuntary winter vacation". Stuck with it though.. Now I'm at the top of the seniority list. Of course the as*holes never tell you that when they need every swinging one in the field, and working every perfect weather weekends to keep up.
I had to sell two bikes because of money woes... But unlike some of my hot rod trucks I still kick my own as* for selling... I didn't miss them. However, if it all goes to hell in a basket again... Me and the WG are hitting the road, cleaning, sweeping, and other odds jobs at the gas stations for gas and a sandwich with a coke... Until one of us stops working/living.
