1" to 2" riser Extensions install question.
If you're looking to bump up the riser height an 1" with a taller set, you can. Leave your handlebars on,turn your forks to one side and take a wrench that works for you(socket,box end) 3/4" and loosen your riser bolts(under the top triple tree)as you or a friend hold the front end from moving. Break the two bolts loose. Then lay a blanket over your tank, remove your handle bars and lightly lay them down on the blanket or have your friend hold'em for a few minutes. Replace the top clamp onto the risers and by using your fingers, put the clamp screws part way in so the risers don't spin while you take them the rest of the way out. Be careful not to damage the ground line connected to the right side riser bolt. When installing the new set, i recommend a little blue locktite.
