My S/O's 2000 Lowrider has a flat plate, about 1" tall, across the downtubes about 1-1/2" below the triangular plate where the downtubes end. Her engine guard bolts to that plate on the top.

My 07 Street Bob has basically the same triangular plate but doesn't have the separate, lower 1" plate. Does your SB have that separate plate or not? I don't want engine guards but how/where would you mount them if you did? The installation instructions on HD's website suck and don't give any of this detail.

off the top of my head no it ides not have the extra plate, but i know the part you are talking about in the down tubes
