Seems like it is worth having them check (fall away) when I take it in for my 500 miles service. Just seems strange... yes, it is with heavy front braking but just seems wrong... Thanks again will update results from dealer later on this post.
Service schedule is 1000. So you have 500 to go. My bike does the same thing.
Dealer was telling me 500 miles to remove all the initial "metal shavings"... I saw 1000 in the owners manual would have to think Harley factory knows best right? Guess is it a "Stealer" tactic for us new owners wishing to do the best for our new baby!

500 miles is correct... for changing out the 'break-in' / 'shipping oil', as I've heard it called.
You should get a factory service manual and learn to change the oil yourself.

Take your bike to them for any & every concern you have in regards to its safe operation.
But save your $ on the regular maintenance... the satisfaction of working on your own bike is priceless.
