U dont need to do nothing but put the slip ons on...u dont need to re-map.Dealers protect themselves and want the money for the download....

best mod i did to mine was forward controls and added some slipons i went with rush and they or very good for me

New Harleys with the 02 sensors run air-fuel ratio of 14.6 in their closed loop mode. Most claim that the computer will take care of exhaust or intake changes but not both because the sensors are narrow band. Meaning that if the A/F change is too great it will be out of their sensing range.
You may want to check out nightrider.com for their A/F ratio fix. Their XIEDs have been discuss on this forum. Read some threads and form your own opinion. Remember, louder does not mean better. It makes me cringe every time I hear or read, " I got my new pipes on. They're loud and I love them. But my neighbors don't."
