got a small tank dent, maybe 1 inch diameter - 1/4 inch deep, no paint damage.
i've seen some paintless dent repair (PDR) videos - including one on hdforums.
looks pretty good.
anyone done this?
any references for the northeast?
seems kind of pricey ($250+) considering ebay tanks are pretty cheap.
They can do miracles with PDR, but the price you quote is insane. Although it might be kind of hard to do it on a tank as opposed to a panel you can get behind.
I used to work for a new car dealer that had nearly every car on the lot dented by hail. He made a ton of money getting body and paint money from his insurance while paying for PDR. And you could NOT tell the cars had ever been damaged after the PDR was done.
Ask around at car dealers for references.

problem is - tanks are much thicker and the typical car PDR techniques do not work.
Has to be worked SLOWLY both inside and out with teflon tipped tools.
I just tried using "dent king" on my tank but it was unsuccessful. The dents are small from the turn signals hitting it when the wheel is turned to far. (it was like that when I got the bike)but the dent king did not work for me.
Use a hair dryer or heat gun on low to heat up the tank, then turn a Dust Off can upside down to produce liquid freeze. paint in a circular motion. often will pop right out. many youtube videos on this. here's one: http://www.wisebread.com/remove-car-...ly-and-cheaply
