what your Street Bob looks like w/o a front fender here it is.
Had my fender off in prep for polishing my lower sliders and remembered some of you had mentioned running w/o a front fender. I can't,because it rains so much here, but I do like the look. Bet it would really look good with some four or six over tubes.
I really like the look also and although rain is not an issue here in TX, I'm thinking that everything else on the road (rocks/oil/roadkill) might end up in my face, or at the very least, all over the front of the bike. Any experience with that being the case?
Tom... Your bike looks great. How well is your tool bag holding up, do you get alot of road grime on it? thx mojo
Bag does fine, just a cheapo Bell from Walmart. Cut a piece of thin sheetmetal to line the inside to help it hold shape and wire tied the straps to the frame. Will probably put a piece of thinwall pvc with slot in the top to maintain a more rounded shape if I ever get around to it.
Does pick up a bit of road grime, but not much the way my fender is installed. Just wipe it off and it looks ok. Wipe it down with shoe polish every once in a while.

THANKS!
Well, as luck would have it, I rode my bike to work for one day w/o the fender and it was raining like a cow pissin' on a flat rock when I got off. Surprisingly it was not much wetter than normal, the grooves in the tire seem to retain a lot of the water and cascade it out the front kinda like a reverse roostertail on a boat.
Back in the sixtys and seventies none of us ran front fenders and didn't get killed by rocks, course we were running a big rake and ridiculous over length tubes, like fourteen or sixteen over. That could have had something to do with it.
hey dude, what kinda windshield u got on that thing?
