Tommay,
I have a windvest on my Bob and to be honest it drives me nuts. When I have it on, it seems to deflect the wind ok, but right to my head and it sends my head into a violent shake back and forth and it really blurs the vision bad. I have tried to move the shield up as far as I can and I have moved it forward and still same thing. Any suggestions?

All I can tell you is that mine did exactly the same thing first time I rode with it. Made me sick to think I'd spent that much money and the helmet buffeting was awful. I raised mine on inch and kept adjusting forward till the buffeting went away, probably about three inches forward at the top from where I started and it was fine after that. Another thing that makes a lot of difference is the tank lift, directs more air down. If you experiment you'll find that most of the buffeting is coming from air under the windshield and up from around the tank. Small windshield bag at the base of the windvest helps also.
Another great lookin' Bob. I like it w/o the front fender although not sure I'd want to ride it all the time that way. Might be pickin' dirt out of my teeth...lol.. I really like the windshield you selected. Blends perfectly with the bike. Good luck....
Bag does fine, just a cheapo Bell from Walmart. Cut a piece of thin sheetmetal to line the inside to help it hold shape and wire tied the straps to the frame. Will probably put a piece of thinwall pvc with slot in the top to maintain a more rounded shape if I ever get around to it.
Does pick up a bit of road grime, but not much the way my fender is installed. Just wipe it off and it looks ok. Wipe it down with shoe polish every once in a while.
Good Luck
Tom
TOMMAY..I have the same bag and set up as you have...I put the two leather straps through the little slots in the bag and put each one on a down tube with a black wire tie above and below the straps on the down tubes and inside the bag I had an old Bell Pro Star helmet face shield I cut it to fit works great.. I got at least 2-3 pounds tools, rag..ect... No problems.. the face shield is rugged material, I was going to use pvc but, it didn't fit right.. with the face shield I can wrap my tools in a rag so I don't get any banging around... Anyway figure I'd give ya heads up... I'm still trying to get my guts up to mount my fender like yours... I like it, it's slick lookin'... Later..Skee
I have the $50 hd tool bag mounted to the bottom of the frame on my bike, It got stained up pretty good from water spots and some white dots from riding over some paint in the road. I took some regular black shoe polish to it and it looks awesome, really shiny and looks better then new. I just tie rap it to the frame.
Mine has been holding up pretty good, been down dirt roads nothin' but dust... I'll try the shoe polish, I did get flicks of tar, the polish will make it easier to get that off.. I got plenty of shoe polish..LOL.. I just retired from the gov.... Later Skee
