Instead of badges go with black paint with harley davidson in ghost red letters. So that it looks black until it is in the sun or light then you see the subtle red letters.

Thats a cool idea but dont want any paint or decals so i can change it up every once in awhile if I want.
I have always been partial to the newer night train badges. Like on my bike. Other than that, I personally don't think the style of your bike goes with nostalgic badges. With the thick 49mm forks and trees, I really think go badgeless first, then take your time at figuring it out after the bike is all back together and you have had time to reflect on what would compliment it best.
You get all the harness's unplugged yet from under the tank?
nope, felt like crap this morning (and yesterday for that matter) but I'll be in the garage this afternoon at some point to lift the tank off the frame and get that part done..
Rounder I like the night train badges and thought about them as well. Never thought about the V-Rod ones but those look pretty good as well.
I agree to a point of the retro look and thats why I pushed the arrow ones down the list some. Even though I really liked them I thought they looked to retro for my bike. The ones I posted pics of I thought those would still flow well with it.
but thats why i want badges so I am not stuck with anything if I change my mind.
I will be going badgeless for awhile so I will see after awhile if I still want badges or not.
