That is a good looker!! What color is the one you bought? and maybe a picture of it?? That ad said it came in two colors, That Vivid Black and gold flames would really look cool...
2001 FXDWG2 and 2002 FXDWG3 were both carbureted 88 cubic inch engines from the factory. The 02's did come in black as well, I think it had a black seat too. The blue bikes had silver leaf flames and the black had gold leaf flames. I like how they took the stock Wide Glide front fender and rolled it back a little. Gives it the same look as the fender on Dennis Hoppers bike in Easy Rider. I hear the 02 TC88 were the best 88's.
yeah I got the blue one with pearl flames. Lovin' it. They actually made three colors. a red one, black one, and blue one. Though I think the red one was a 2001... not sure.
Surely I'm not the only one here that is amazed that you bought a HARLEY and don't even know what motor is in it... (I stress HARLEY, because we're not talking about a $500 F'ing go-kart here!) Have you Ridden it at least?

The 2001's are FXDWG2's, the 2002's are FXDWG3's and they are slightly different. I believe the differences (other than color) are the the same as the changes between the regular production 2001-2002 Wide Glides though.
Online manual ?....It sounds like you didn't get an owners manual with the bike. If the sales staff lead you to believe it was a big bore CVO engine...which it's not... other than the paint finish on it. Like the other guys I would be looking for something from the dealer....at least the factory owners manual and shop manual as well. At least you would know what you really have.
