Alright, So I just bought my first Harley. I've searched all over and can't figure out the actual size of the engine. The sales guy said it was a 103ci, the another sales rep said it was a 95ci and the online info manual said it was an 88ci. WTF?
Factory standard probably was 88ci and it may have been built to 103ci. Do you have the maintenance records for it? That could tell you if it has been built.
Take the VIN and call H-D. They should be able to tell you. You may try your local dealer. I remember seeing one at a local bar and was looking it over pretty good. What I remember is seeing 103 on the heads and/or the a/c.

Find out if there is a way to contact the previous owner(s) . I know I have in the past traded in a S.U.V. and shortly there after I received a phone call from the dealership asking me if the new owner of the S.U.V. could call me with a few questions regarding the vehicle . I said sure . All the info on the previous owner should be on record at the dealership where you bought it . I'd ask them to contact the previous owner and get their permission to call them . I am sure they can't give you their info. , but they can intercede on your behalf .
