I finally got the time to finish up some stuff on the bike. I finished up my 15" Kodlin bars, internally wired with black knurled grips. Removed the idle cable. Did the Hickey turn signal mod down to the forwards. Left to do is get that 21" done!
So everything is put back together and works except for the turn sigs. I checked the fuses and they are good. Checked the run/brake/turn module and removed it and still no sigs. I have running light, just no blinky blinky. My question is how touchy is the wiring in the control housing on the bars, do you think that could be it??
Crap!! I don't feel like messing with the bars again!!
Idle cable is the back cable on the throttle. Not sure what it does because the throttle still springs back. I read somewhere that it was so you don't roll the throttle to far forward, but it stops without it so whatever. A lot people are running without on here. You gotta remove the AC and lift you tank to snip a couple zip ties and it comes off easy from the throttle body. You'll see when you get to that point.
Looks real good. Like the turn signal relocate a lot, and the paint is real clean. I have a friend who has an 08 with one of the numbered paint jobs like that, very nice.
Check your brake light also, if thats not working check your acessorie fuse. If it's blown you probaly have a pinched wire in the controls. I just learned fron experience. The holes in the new bars were not as big as the stock ones. when I tightened every thing down it pinched the wires between the sharp edge of the hole and the controls. Used a dremel to grind the hole a little bigger and smooth out the edges. Lookin good. But still check your brake light and fuse.

re: you sigs....I'd check with a volt meter at the plugs under the tank. Make sure you are getting a flash on the wire...Do you hear the flasher clicking? Do you have all three wires connected from the plugs to the sigs?

Yea I was discouraged once I found out they didn't work. I'll save the troubleshooting for next weekend. Oh and no clicking sound either!!
