I lowered my Street Bob with the 1" blocks and 12" stock Switchback shocks. After 5,000 miles or so I changed them out for 11" Progressive 412's. The 1" blocks gave a way harsher ride than the Progressives did.

I had lowering blocks on my sporty for nearly 30k and never once had a problem, I also made a couple emergency stops during that time with no problems at all.
My low rider rides just about like it did with these on it I could not tell any difference , but Iam sure a nice top quality set of shocks would ride better and or just be s better way to go .
