I remember posting on another thread very simular to this one, the HD stage 1 download is still in there, and useless as the others mentioned, the one I regret the most is the pcV which gets water in the connector and has to be removed and dried out each time I get caught in the rain. Maybe not each time but it is a PITA to ride wet and have to worry the damn connector is going to cause me to crap out by the side of the road! And the last time my H-dealer serviced some warranty issue they had a kid wash the bike for me and he totally drowned it for me. I found at least 2 tbls. of h2O in it that time..........wishing I had the TTS mastertune!
The other is the prog 440's/ front prog fork springs I picked up or 459$shipped that Rounder is going to tell me I wasted money on,but I'm not sure yet weather I will disagree with Him since they aren't on yet and I can't ride until mid to end O' March!!!!
You may not of waisted your money on that, the directions for that pcv install have you zip tie the plug to the front side of the fuse box, as I recall anyway, but for the reason you just brought up, my little voice in my head (yea, no comments on that one, thanks), told me no way jose. I made the big connector plug in, stow inside the fuse box area so it would not be exposed to water, and to be extra extra cautious (borderline **** probably), I crammed the connector full of electrical insualating compound, and wrapped a ziplock bag around it, then ziptied it. The only friggen way I know that connector is gonna get water in it, is if I try and put pontoons on the side and take it to the lake, literally.

not to totally hI-jack the thread but "inside the fuse box"? that is the first time I've heard that! I remember one fellow who snaked his connector up under his seat,I managed that one time , but didn't like putting stress on the wiring harness, So Mine now hangs zip-tied to the frame with the black (female) end up,the mouth pointed toward the ground, that way the water has to come out if it gets in,soon I shall wrap a plastic baggie on it for assurance sake. And i will have a look if there is any way to get that connector into the fuse box., But I realize you may have meant inside as between the fuse and battery boxes.
I don't know Rounder, I like the way your bike looks but I can understand, especially your post with the cleaning of gloss black.
My regrets, oh boy, well,
1. That chinese crap chrome front control/master cylinder kit, blahhhh, wish I would of saved the mula then and stripped and painted my original, like I have done now.
2. I think I waisted my money on the front progressive springs, I ended up putting in the ricor iniminators, superbrace, and just installed true track, friggin rides like a beast in heat now, and I think my stock springs with that combo would of been the same beast in heat.
3. Buying those kuryakyn front turn signal/mirror combo, wanted to clean up the front some but those thing suck, look pretty good but the friggin longer stems on em make em shake like a dog pissing razor blades, I yanked them things off too.
4. When I did my IPB, I did not know of this baker bearing, so I threw in a new HD IPB instead, if I had known of the baker I would of stuck that sucker instead.
5 Waisting my money on that HD Rear turn signal relocation kit, as it is I pulled all that crap off anyway and bought a brake light/turn signal relocate kit from bright *** lights.
6. I know there is at least items 7-15 if I really thought about but the above ones are the biggies.

Okay, I just took a picture here to give you an outside look. You can see the top right pcv/stock ecm connection, that you can't relocate since the ecm is there. However as I recall the pcv has you mount the other side of the plug by the coil which is outside of the fuse box area and in the elements, no way, not gonna happen here. What I did is, yes lift the seat, but if you put your fingers on the back side of the fuse box, directly under the ecm, you will feel a little shelf there, that is where my other side of the pcv plug goes that you are suppose to zip tie over by the coil, but I refused to do that. My plug is housed in the inside of the back of the fuse box, plus like I mentioned crammed with dielectric grease, and zip tied in a plastic bag.
Yea I know itisa crappy pic, I just got off work, and tired, and ran out to the garage in my long undergutchies to snap this pic so best I could do at the moment.
Sorry but Cactusred..Your Iron Maiden sig kicks A@@ !!! Saw them when I was 10 on the Powerslave "World Slavery Tour.." Awwww, Childhood !!
Thank you brother, man I seen em a few times myself, bruce dickinson's voice is unbelieveable, and I use to play bass so man Steve Harris can friggin bang those licks like nobody's biz.
Don't want to hi jack this thread either, but I am not into the willie g collection for harley but what I am gonna do is some how some way, I will get EDDIE on my friggin bike, I don't know if it will be in paint form, or one of those custom timing/derbie cover engravement things but EDDIE is the gremlin bell for my ride.
you could turn that bike into a nice blacked out bike...this is my bike in it's original form:
I've been thinking about having my chrome covers PC'd black , and possibly having some black flames painted over the Pacific blue pearl tins . But , that's aa lot of money that my exwife will love to spend before I get the chance .
