looking at my bike... I wasted money on mods I should have never done.
1 wide glide front end
2 wheels
3 gloss black powdercoat.
4 Big radius pipes
5 11" shocks
should have just powdered stock rims black
kept 39mm front, and done a fairing
painted the tins hot rod black...
got the 2-1 fatcat(kinda wish I got the thunderheader)
Bought 12" Ohlins to start
anybody else have a list of wasted mods?

 

Well not too bad yet since I'm only new at this...not like an engine job or anything but I sprung for a medium /low sissy bar but now I want an attitude stick...

 

The only mod i have done to my bike.....10" minis with 4" risers.....when i bought the mini's i thought 14 inches would be too high so i ordered 10" mini's.....then realized that 14 inches is more appropriate for my height and bought 4" risers to get to 14 inches......i wish i had researched more and bought 14" apes to begin with......not that they dont look good but they could be better!!!!!

 

Curious...what don't you like about the WG front end?

08+ SE stage 1 air breather. I hated the shape to begin with and had no idea I could run the older, round style I have now.


I also bought the SE180 tire. It is a good tire...

the only reason for it though was a puncture and flat on the factory tire at 1200 miles. I DID want a 18x5.5" wheel with a real 180...some day.



I have a set of a progressive front lowering springs sitting here. I HOPE I don't regret it, but I'm thinking I might like the ricor emulators better......they are still in the box so I could sell them....

 

None of it was wasted if you were havin fun when you did it. Thats the great thing with Harley's, you can do it one way then change back or go another way. It's an endless cycle.

 

Man I hope I don't have any wasted mods. But I don't know yet. my mods are all over the friggen garage and my bike looks like this right now!

 

Damn rattlebones, what'd that poor bike do to **** you off?

 

Wish I had the time to do that to mine, but unfortunately I spend too much time at work...

 

Only one I regret is the 150 buck useless stage.1 download.... all the rest is cool....

 

Lets see here...I just got my bike in Jan and I already have a few.

Mustang Vintage Solo with Passenger Pillon. I did 100 miles the day I left...got on the plane for the 16 hour flight to Dubai and realized the seat gave me a pressure point on my tailbone. Made for an uncomfortable 16 hours. Just bought a Danny Gray Weekday 2 up to see if that works better when I finally get home again.

Wrinkle Black top rocker covers...bought these before I came back and picked up the bike while on R&R, didn't realize the wedge shape and you have to replace the lowers too to get the look I wanted...and then decided not to install. So they are brand new in the box

HD Front Sig relocation...not installed yet. From the pictures I have found now it looks like wings on the front. Going to try the left handlbar mount mod now. So they are brand new in the box.

Diamond Black fuel cap and led guage. Wish I got the flushmounts.
