looking at getting a different one myself...HD one hasn't worked in awhile now,I put it on in 03.I imagine they are probably less money from other places too.
kuryakyn 4859 controller, flashes the lights 3x .......... that flash just may get the attention of the cager on his blackberry............
As for the original post,do you want to elinate the main brake light, like a newer streetglide? Bad Idea, imho. We can bareley be seen as it is
So which one do you use when you want to eliminate the brake light completely? Biketronics BTxxx?
Why on earth would you want to eliminate your brake light completely? Not interested in letting the cage behind you know you are stopping? Good luck with that.

Ummm, no he's planning to turn his turn signals into brake lights.
I bought the Badlands run/brake/turn signal module from J&P Cycles that also has the built in load equalizer for running LEDs in back. It's J&P #380-215-01.
I bought the Radiantz round LED inserts for the turn signals from Biker Hiway on ebay.
I would agree with longhair i put the run/brake/turnsignal part from HD on my bike and I think along with the brake light it allows you to be seen easier. IMHO i would never remove my brake light.
I removed the fender cracking center light that comes on the newer Street Bobalone with the side sigs. I replaced them with an LED Strip that has arouns 60 LEDs and is split in the middle. I also installed a set of 2.5" strips of LEDs (20) on both sides of the rear part of the fender. Total I have 100 LEDs that are lit all the time (Run) and they all light up when I hit the brakes (Stop) and half of them light up when the turn sigs are activated (turn). I have also installed a side plate mount with a Model A style brake light. The light that HD sells that is a swap out for the stock tail lamp that is LED filled only has 10 LEDs from what I understand. I have some pics below of what I have........oh, and I also run the HD STT (Stop, Tail, Turn) module with no issues. You would need the one that is used in the new chopped fender kit they offer or off the new Wide Glide that only runs the two turn sigs.
Run
Turn (whole thing lights up this bright when brakes are applied)
Complete setup (as you can see the LEDs are a whole lot brighter then the side mount, and the side mount meets DOT requirements)
I have the HD one on my Fatboy, it sucks! People behind me can't even tell when I am braking, the running light and brake light are almost the same brightness.
