hard starting dyna
went to go start my 96 low the other day for the first ride of the year and had a hell of a time starting it. ended up taking the a/c off and putting my hand over the carb. just got the bike in dec so it is very new to me. im just hoping it was hard starting b/cuz it was only 39 outside. it might also be too big of a carb (miku 42m) with a ev46 cam and crane ing. after it wormed up it fired off everytime thought just very hard starting the fist time. any ideas ? by the way I cant belive how much of a diff ride (much better) it is then my sporty. thanks for any help

First start can always be difficult. I would keep the mikuni 42 no problem. Just throw a new set of plugs in after you burn off all the storage gas. BTW are you using STABIL in your gas? If not then you need to start next storage season.

I too often have a hard time starting her up after a long rest ( about 2 weeks) Have just accepted the fact that she's a hard starter. Thing I hate the most is pushing the decompression plugs over and over again until she starts up. Before I got used to starting her up I would give her gas thus drowning her.
