I've had my 09 FXDF for a few weeks now and I still can't wait to ride it every chance I get. I must admit the main reason I wanted a FXDF were the looks of the bike. This is only my second Harley. Last summer I bought a Sporty just to see what Harley's were all about, but soon realized I wanted a big twin.

My only gripe so far is the lack of after market mod support but I'am sure that will com with time since the Fat Bob's are still a "new" model.

Be sure to post up some photos of your bike when you get it. "You know you're gonna!"

bradlytle- ya, I was in the dealership the other day looking at headlights. The wideglide light looks like it would be an easy option but im not completely sold on the look of it.

i like the way the fatboy headlight looks on it - seen that on a couple bike on this forum.

I am interested in a st. bob headlight to be honest. wondering how easy of a swap tat would be.

I enjoy my Fat Bob for what I use it for and that's a cruiser. I have a Stage 4 103ci and its a blast to ride. I've changed everything but the rims. I'm 35 and I get the young ladies who give me a hollar which always fun. BTW Centerline is the man to ask. He gave me great info about the 103ci.

One of the few things I do not like about the bike is the wheels, Either they should be clear coated or chromed, The brake dust puts pits in them and they get to be a pain to clean. I polish mine once a month using a power ball and now I am using the H.D. Aluminum sealer , We will see how it works. When it comes to tires the stockers kinda suck in the rain but i dropped 3 pounds of air out of them and now they feel better in the wet weather. The next set of tires I will decide if I want to powder coat the wheels black chrome. Other than that they handle great

Love mine, > 8600 miles only one big issue was handled under warranty, dealer replaced the battery and the cause = stator.

Otherwise very happy, looks and handles great. Stock power is a bit underwhelming for a 96ci but remedies easy enough, just costs $$$.

I've heard complaints about the wheels corroding but down near the ocean and haven't had any real problem with that yet. Basically wipe everything down with a damp cloth every weekend and once in a while a coat of wax or polish whichever suits.

Like the advice, ride a few to be sure what you want. You can pretty much rent anything you want to try as long as you have MC license and insurance.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I love mine but I do wish there was more aftermarket support for it.

I agree....I like the solid wheels for simplicity's sake but they are a pain to keep clean. I would love to have laced wheels and one day I may but for now that is what the bike came with and it had most of what I wanted.

I love my FatBOB but the one thing I don't like is the wheel finish... I love the wheels themselves so I plan on having Joe the PowderPro Powdercoat them if I can get my *** from Grove, OK to Chicago, IL to see him... But that would be my only complaint even though I have a Fatboy headlight coming for it...

When i first saw the fat bob on harley's website, i knew i had to have one. While some dont like the headlight or rear fender, i wouldn't change either one. I did put on 6 inch pull-back risers and the tri bar tail light both from harley. Both excellent add ons i think.

Today this guy had to lock up his brakes after challenging me and loosing. His bike brakes skidded and screamed. I easily stopped as easily as my bike beat his. I love the stop light to stop light challenge. Others? I had a great day on my Fat Bob! Those big dual front brakes are the BEST at stopping.
