Fat Bob Talk
Today this guy had to lock up his brakes after challenging me and loosing. His bike brakes skidded and screamed. I easily stopped as easily as my bike beat his. I love the stop light to stop light challenge. Others? I had a great day on my Fat Bob! Those big dual front brakes are the BEST at stopping.

I like the look of lorance66's ... with the Fat Boy headlamp, big radius pipes (or knock-offs), force winder or SE A/C, and lowered rear shocks ... has got a really good look to it ....

At first I wasn't a big fan of the dual headlight, tommy gun exhaust or the rear fender, but have kind of come around ... still not my favorite bike in the HD line-up, but I like it alright ... and those who own one are pretty uniformly favorable in their opinions ....
I really do like the CVO Fat Bob ... but, not many CVOs that I don't like ...

I don't know if you've ridden before, but when I bought my '09 Fat Bob, it was/is my first bike so I wasn't sure what I wanted (I didn't test ride as others have suggested).
So my suggestion is to be honest with yourself in terms of what you want from the bike. For instance, even though others mention that the Fat Bob corners fine, I find that I wish I could lean harder as I scrap a peg about 50% of the time. So sometimes I wish I had a sport bike. Also, once I got the bike, I realized that I really enjoy going for long rides and the Fat Bob wasn't comfortable enough for that for me (I just bought a mustang vintage wide with drivers backrest and a windshield but haven't tried them as of yet). So in this respect, I kinda wish I had bought a touring model.
I guess what I'm really saying is I need 2 bikes: A sport bike and a touring bike. The Fat Bob is somewhere in the middle and therefore doesn't completely satisfy what I wanted. But it's still fun to ride. So figure out what you want!

fat bob is right down the middle... not too small, not too big... not too sporty, not too "baggie"... and different enough to keep the cool factor high. diggin' it - wouldn't ride anything else right now.
First street bike I ever owned and I LOVE it. Every time I go somewhere I get compliments on it. Many times while stopped at street lights!
As others have said, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it, I'll just add to the stable.

I don't care too much for or against the dual head lamps, but I will say one thing. I think for safety, two head lamps just makes people see you more. It gives oncoming traffic a better sense of depth and perception of speed. When I see a two head lighter, I judge its closing rate of speed better and its far more visible than a single head lamp.
Its like seeing a car with one head lamp coming towards you at night, its just gives you a poor sense of speed and distance. The more lights the better when a car is about to turn left in front of me I say.
My two cents.
