This is another members bike. I like the dual headlights on my fatbob but this one is also kick a$$.
You will love everything about the Fatbob!
Tim
Thanks again for the compliment! Yeah, I love my new headlight so much I finally broke down and sold my stock dual light. I originally didn't want to but I know I am never gonna want it back on there. This is an older pic of my bike too. I changed grips and pegs since then and cut off the stock license plate mount and a few odds and ends.
I have a vivid black 2009 and love it. I bought a 2008 Sporty in February and traded it for the Fatbob in August. I love the position and the look. The headlight has it's own flair and the front tire looks and ride great. I put Rinehart 2 into 1 that sounds much better, nice unitl you open the throttle then is barks!
Great bike, I rode the lowrider before buying the fat bob but just wasn't me. This is a full fat rounded out good handling bike. Many hate the lawnmower exhaust so I put on the rush 2.0 mufflers, just what it needed. It's my first Harley and it will be sometime before I look for another one.
I am also in the market for a Harley and have to say this is my 1st choice so far.
The bike just looks mean! Love the dual headlights, also love the fact that it has dual front brakes. Just waitin the right price on a used one!
This was the only Harley I wanted. I didn't even sit on any of the other bikes on the showroom floor. To me it looks cooler than any other Harley (well I'll get a street glide or road glide custom when I get into my 40's). I put on a set of Python slip-ons and really can't decide what I want to do next. I love it just the way it is... You will too!! I really dont understand why people buy a Fat Bob just to get rid of the dual headlights and/or rear fender. That's what makes it a Fat Bob!!
The Fat is the best bike I've riden. It handles great. I agree with you on the lack of aftermarket items. Most of the aftermarket is directed to softails, after all, if you have 17Gs to spend on a bike, you probably have some more to make it look your way. I dont think you need a lot of things to make a Fat your own. It looks great right out the showroom.
On the bad, the bar could get a little uncorftable on longer rides. But it looks bad ***, pull backs are an option if you ride long distances. The exhaust looks great, sound is not. It does gets a lot better over time. Other than that, this is hands down the baddest bike in the line-up. It is so much fun to ride. I guarantee that if you test ride the thing, you wont want to get off of it.
I'm into my third year of the Fat Bob, and no other bike tempts me. I was sort of flirting with the idea of a Road Glide, but really, I drive fourteen hour days now and then on the Fat Bob just fine, what do I need fairing for?
In the last year I've done quite a bit of "customization" and really have the Fat Bob how I like it and want it. Every day I still get a thrill out of firing her up and heading down the street to the road. It's my pride and joy.
