Hey guys, I was lookin into lowering my 06 streetbob maybe 1'' or 1.17''. I was just gonna go with blocks so i can keep my stock shocks. I ride 2-up sometimes so i'm wondering if that will be a problem? I'm like 150 lbs but young so I'll put on some weight eventually haha, but my g.f is only like 100lbs 105 MAX haha. anyways what do yall think?
Go for it, tyr it out, see what happens.
For the back... do the blocks & increase the shock pre-load when you go 2up.
For the front... slide the fork tubes up the trees 1".
Blocks and sliding the front forks up an inch are the simple way to drop an inch.
I was enamored by the idea of the relatively new Progressive "Drop In" Front Springs so did them on my FXDC. Front end is maybe a tiny bit stiffer but the front end sure feels good on all sorts of road conditions and ride lots of two up too. Oh and I put Progressive Shocks in the rear. Neither I nor my lady weigh much so a little more pre-load on the rear shocks is all I did.

well my fat *** weighs about 275 lbs and although there is no way I would ever post my wife's weight in public I will say she weighs a bit more than your gf
I put 11" shocks on my bike and we never bottom out....in fact the ride is much better than the stock shocks were.
