Is there a way to fix the throttle lag you gat after removing the baffels from your pipes? I have V&H long shots and I love the sound with the baffles removed but have issues with throttle lag/ hesitation now that the baffels have been removed. Luckily they just bolt in and out.
I'm not sure on this, but because there is no back pressure you get that 'lag' that your talking about. I dont think there is a solution, only to have baffles. I'm sure you probably already know, but Big City Thunder has some monster baffles that I personally, and a lot of others on this forum have and love. You get that awesome sound, and dont loose any back pressure (well I didnt on my short shots).
If it's FI, you need to put the baffles back in. If you don't like the sound, buy A) new exhaust or B) different baffles such as Big City Thunder baffles.

I have a carb. I will look into the new baffles thanks
Cut the middle out of your baffles then weld the two ends back together. Bolt them back in.
I'm surprised you like the sound with them out. I took the baffles out of my longshots for about 1/2 an hour, then put them back it because I though it sounded like ***.

Why not get some BCT baffles and have just as great of a sound without the decel BLAAAAAHHHHHRRRRGGGH sound and no throttle issues? You would love them and they do NOT hurt the sound at all.
Without the baffles you are to lean. The bike needs the backpresure from the baffles
although you could spend some money for some mods to correct this or you could just put the baffles back in !
