and some 3M heavy duty car molding 2 sided tape and mounted it on the flat spot below the neck grommet. I ran the wires under the gas tank back to the battery. I had some heat shrink tube so I used that to cover the crimp splices and the colored wires that come off the outlet. My bike is black and so is the outlet so it is very hard to see, it blends in well.
Wife's Low Rider came from the dealer with a tender wire; I put the same setup on mine. The wire for the GPS is mixed right in with the switchgear wires...
