Default anyone know how to cut chrome

hey i have a buddy who has the quick disconnects for a sissy bar. problem is they dont fit around his blinkers. anyone know of a way or the least destructive way to cut chrome before i start experimenting on his $$$ parts hehe...want it to work cuase if it does he will give me his non quick disconnects for my bike...thanks Dan

Cutting chrome is not the problem, you lose the finish and then you end up with rust.
You can cut it with just about any metal cutting tool.

yeah i mean i know i can cut it no problem i meant without running or chipping it

Depends on where and what you're cutting. If it is exposed you will ruin that area unless you rechrome. If it is the end of your bars, no problem, just take a hacksaw to it.
If you are talking about cutting a notch in the sissy bar mounts, I would tape it off real good then cut it, then spray some zinc primer paint on it to protect it from rust. Paint it while the tape is still on it.

yeah figured i'd have to paint after, was thinking cut off wheel and tape would work best

Isn't there a signal relocateing kit for this reason?
Move the signals then you don't have to cut anything.
