Default Installing the BCT baffle on my o8 bob

Got the VH Slip-on's...any good directions on how to do this? I did a search but do not see. Is it as easy as removing the slip on's, taking out the stock baffle and then placing the BCT one in?

Did you have to drill any holes or did it align with the stock baffle?

Did you place the BCT baffle 3" from the end of the pipe?

Call BCT to be sure, I drilled at 7.125 from the end of my V&H big Radius 2-2s. Sound is great!

I installed them in my V&H big shots about 6 inches in pipe and had to drill new holes. The stock baffle holes were 3" from end. They recommend at least 6" for best sound and performance though.

I did mine right at 6" as per BCT

Heat sheilds should be hose clamp mounted.........flat screwdriver should do the trick

Any reason to remove the actual slip on/pipe? That nut is tight as hell. Better to just remove shield?

Crap, nothing goes as easy as planned. I removed the heat shield, unscrewed the baffle and removed it, drilled a hole 6" from the end of the pipe, tried placing the baffle into the pipe and it only slid about .5". Placed WD40 on baffle and still did not slide. Placed the stock baffle back into pipe and it fit, so pipe not dinged or anything. Measured the baffle's, and the BCT baffle is about .01" larger than the stock. My pipe's are 2 1/8 and the baffle is 2"....not sure why not fitting. Anyone else have this issue or have heard of it? Any ideas?

Could there be any burrs from drilling the hole on the inside of the pipe to keep it from sliding in further?
