Default New to Forum and Harleys..........

hello, just purchased a 2010 fatbob, vivid black, i have a few questions, i want to get some new grips, possibly the kurakyn iso grips, does the fatbob have the dual throttle cable (dont have bike yet), also i want to buy shocks that have the spring exposed, i love the look, i will be riding double some times, im going for the look but dont want to get cheaper shocks than what is on their now. i see ebay has alot of these shocks but i dont know what size to get. thanx guys

Congratulation on your new Fat Bob. Dyna's 08 up have electronic throttle control, they are not dual cable. I have not dealt with shocks since I am happy with mine but many here who will be able to give you lots of advice.

Congrats OP!! Sorry RL but you're wrong. The only bikes that are drive by wire are the touring bikes. ALL dyna's ARE DUAL throttle cables.

OP. I know you don't have your bike yet, but if you look on the HD web site and you see the two cables hanging down from the right grip those are the dual throttle cables. Drive by wire throttle you wouldn't see those.

Oh also on your shocks see if anyone is willing to trade from another Dyna. Fatbob's are the only ones that have the covered shocks. I'm sure you can find someone willing to trade or some take offs. Put a posting in the classifieds.

Welcome to the Forum and welcome to the fabulous ride of the Fat Bob.
I suggest you keep the stock shocks; they're one of the distinctive characteristics of the FB.

Welcome and congrats on the new Fatbob. Great choice. I'm sure someone would trade shocks with you here.

Dynas have dual throttle cables and I believe the stock shock length to look for would be 12.5in. Like BLACKANDSILVER said someone on here will probably trade you. Welcome to the forum and to harley's

The stock FatBob shock length is shorter than most dynas, 12 inches.. There is one other model with that length, but I don't recall which one.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! The shocks on the 2010 Wide Glide are the exact same length as the Fat Bob.
