Battery Install 2008 FXDC
I think the float charger might be a good idea, but it was fully charged when it was removed back in October. I was thinking of getting the trickle charge at that time, but was told by the person who removed it, that as long as I keep it in the house, it should be ready to go when I put it in the Spring.
But, now I wonder if I put the battery in now, get a trickle charge on it, let it sit for a couple of days, THEN will it be fully charged (for sure) in a couple of days?
I don't plan on riding it today, but hopefully on Thursday. Weather here is supposed to be in the 60's!!

Thanks again.
A motorcycle battery should always be kept on a charger when not in use. This is regardless of whether the battery is in the motorycle or not in the motorcycle. Pulling the maxipad is not necessary. Just be carefull not to touch the ends of the battery cables together or to have your ratchet handle touch the two battery cables at the same time.

How I understood it was that if you pull the fuse prior to removal and after install then this should prevent the security setting kicking in??
Cheers

In doing this, I noticed that there was another cable/wires in the box that looked like they might be connected to a fuse, but they were not.
Does anyone have a 2008 SuperGlide Custom that has this, as well? I do NOT have a security system on my bike, but I am GUESSING that this may be related to that...?
HELP! I don't know who else to ask!
Thanks!
