wheel question for 04' wide glide...

I want to change out my wheels for a set of magnum 5 custom wheels from harley davidson 21 inch front 17 inch rear. my question is this...the rear wheel is a 16 inch on my bike right now, can the 17 incher be retrofitted??

Retrofitted? As long as you have the proper spacers & bearings, yes the 17" will work.

You should be able to make it work. My ? is if you are ordering from Harley why not just order the 16 and save the possibility of a headache?

I would if I knew they made that wheel in 16 inches, but I'm not sure. I'll call them tomorrow to find out.

Eleven...how did you find out they made that wheel in 17"?

Browsing H-D.com, that wheel is offered in 21" front, 19" front and 17" rear.

Ok ya got me... lol what I meant initially was if the OP saw they make it in 17, couldn't they have gone back to check if a 16" wheel was available?

the new wide glide has a 17 inch rear wheel, so at first I assumed if I looked up wheels to fit that bike on the HD website I could find something close to what would fit mine.
