I have installed rush 2.0 slip ons and a big sucker with a PCV. I have checked for leaks and adjusted the zero throttle values all over the spectrum and cannot completely eliminate mild decel popping. So I'm going to get a dyno tune.
the only tuner in the area charges $200 for 3 baseline runs, custom map for PCV and 3 final runs. I already have the pcv installed. Just checking with those of you who have dyno tuned your bikes, if this is a decent price, and is it worth it to go ahead and get the custom tuning and map.
I'm taking mine in to have cams installed and tuned. My guy quoted me $125/hour. he walked me through his procedures as well. He will be doing some baselin runs with what I already have installed and then after the cams are installed he will tune it up and make the final optimizations.
Junior, is that $125/hr for dyno time? How many hours did the tuner tell you to expect it to take? Usually it's between 2-3hrs from what I've seen/read/discussed with friends.

That is about right. He said when everything goes perfectly he can get it done in about 2 hours. But that I should not expect it to be only 2 hours.
Even at 3 hours this is about the same as i would pay the dealer, but i trust these guys more.
the 3 base runs are to get pre-tune stats, then they tune it with Tuning Link, then run 3 finals for the final stats, as i understand it. He said it takes between 2-4 hours.
The dealer where I purchased my bike quoted a flat $350.00 for a dyno tune. They are a Dynojet dealer and the tech has been to some kind of Dynojet tuning classes if that matters.

Thats what this guy is. certified HD tech and has some sort of cert. from Dynojet. I just got off the phone with him and the price includes the base and final pulls and setting the AFR's at each throttle position.
Thanks for the input guys, sounds like a decent price. Anymore input on whether its even worth it to get it on a dyna with just slip ons and A/C?
