Default Saddlebag brackets - again

Here's a topic that hasn't been beaten to death right? I've got an 06 low rider, solid mount sissy bar, 2 up seat, etc. I have a cheaper pair of throw-over leather saddlebags that fit behind my shocks and in front of my signals, but they're getting close to my caliper and the upper belt guard is showing some wear. (I know battle scars right) I love having bags, hard to carry rain gear wihtout a bag, so I'm keeping them. I'm also not relocating my turn signals.

I would love to find a bracket I could take on and off easily that would attach the the single bolt on my fender and hold the bags away from the bike, but not too far. don't want wings. In the most recent HD catalog they have brackets that fit the 06 without relocating signals, but they look like they are sitting on top of the shock, and that won't work for my bags. looks like a great option though.

I know there are a ton of companies that make brackets, Easy Brackets being the one that comes to mind. While searching their site I ran across the Deuce mounting system. Basically these mount behind the fender's chrome trim rail, leaving a small chrome bracket with two bolts underneath the chrome trim rail. You will see this bracket when the bags are gone, but it's small and doesn't look bad, it's chrome. I'm curious if this would work for my bike, or if anyone else had done something similar. I'd like to leave the bags behind the shock, and in front of the signals, but also away from the belt and caliper. Thanks in advance to all. Come on summer, winter sucks.

I have an 05 FXDX, when I re-located my turn signals I used stainless bolts and cut the yokes off my bags, re-enforced the backs of my bags with sheet metal and then bolted the bags. I used nuts as spacers to move the bags off the struts.

Default brackets

I got these off ebay - they were a little smaller than I expected but they did the job. I don't need them anymore. If your interested - PM me.

i think the original question was how do you get soft bags without a rigid back plate to stay off of the rotor/rim while using easy brackets? I have the same question. I want to use my bags, but only if it is quick to throw on and off. I do not want the chrome bumpers to be on my bike like the brackets on JimmieJack's bike above. Will I have to install a sheet metal plate on the inside of my bags to keep the bags from sagging into the rotor/rim?
