Default Front Brake Switch Problem

If any of you guys changing out Handlebar Grips or Handlebars be careful not to ruin the front brake switch, apparently its easy to do. My brake light stays on all the time now when the ignition is on. I read the manual but that switch kicked my butt so now I have to take it to the dealer to be fixed.

Had that happen first time i changed grips. THe switch cover and brake lever have to mesh just right when reinstalling. Give it another try - i bet you can fix!

Dann, thanks for the heads-up....

Are you shure it's the switch? Could be the wedge which holds the switch as well.

Check out this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...h-problem.html

and try to adjust the switch's position by bending out the wedge.

If you do a search for brake switch you'll find some more tyhread on this subject....

Thanks for the link, I missed this thread. And my brake light has been acting up.
