I mounted an Autometer Tach Shift to my Yamaha. Just used a flashlight mount for a bicycle. Can splice into your tach line if you can locate it.
Over a year and ride a lot in the rain. No problems but the tach can be hard to read in bright sunshine. The shift lights work and can be programmed.
