After 10 years and 5 months...
Damn! Some ten and a half years ago I wanted to a buy FXDX. Alas none were to be had, so I put my name on "the list" at my local dealership. After 6 months waiting time I ended up buying a 99 Honda VFR sport bike.Now after all this time and some 53k I got the Harley bug again. Truth is probably more I'm getting to old to want to bend myself into the sportbike position much longer. That's why I'm on this form... to learn.
Good News! Today at 4 o'clock at Ronnies HD in Pittsfield, MA, dog willing, I should be signing the papers on a 010 FDXC in Black Ice Pearl flavor!

I used to ride a sport bike. Nice bike but not very practical. Finaly got caught going way too fast. Big fat ticket. My FDXWG is very practical and very comfy. I can still get a ticket but less likely.

Congrats on the new bike. Hope you have good luck with Ronnie's. Someday if you have a lot of time I'll bore you with my Kelly saga and how I had to buy my bike from Woodstock instead of Ronnie's. We're all waiting for pics. Ronnie's is only 20 miles from our NY address. Not a bad day for a ride. Enjoy!!

First let me say "Thank You" to all who replied with kind words. Over the years one thing I've seen is the kind of fellowship and brotherhood that comes with Harley Ownership. I was hoping to call myself a part of that ... but read on.
Sadly to say, I had to walk away from what I think was a sweet deal.
It wasn't Ronnie's fault. They and even Kelly treated me with respect and genuinely made me feel great about their dealership and the buying experience. (That's something I can't say about every dealership I've been to). Nope the price was good, the money for my 10 year old Honda trade was where I thought it should be, everything was as I say great.
The problem started in the doc's office an hour before I got to Ronnie's. I've been out of work since Oct 09 now on a workman's comp case. It was my belief that I would be going back to work today, maybe even on a new FXDC. Trouble was the Doc says no work for another 3 months. *uck me! Seeing as how I'm a millwright my shop doesn't have much use for a one armed paper hanger. I was on light duty for a spell doing some CAD work for them, but that work doesn't make them much money. So even though I think they need my work, I'm forced to sit home and miss on my Dyna once again.
The deal at Ronnie's is good for 30 days, so I'm gonna see what I can get all these mfs that control my future to do. Other wise I'll have to wait, and damn I liked that bike. I hate workin for other people!
With that in mind I couldn't toucher myself with pictures. as you say... it didn't happen
