I Know a Fix that would keep it from ever happening again would be to just put a tab in with a hole in it to put the spring into like on the stand and it would be almost guaranteed to never come out. but would also be a bitch to change if ya aver needed to.

I was very tempted to beat my brother to death with my bare hands today the ****ing dopey ***** he pused a lawn mower under my bike in my mothers shed and broke the jiffy stand spring I ordered a couple of new ones they don't fit so I orderd a couple of more they don't fit either . im well pissed off I can get them sent from the us but the post is a joke . I have got to the stage where I will never buy another Harley Davidson agin . I would sell the one I have only I don't need he hassel . the tab that holds the spring on the stand was bent and almost broken trough so I took it off and welded it I had 2 drill a new hole for the spring . we have a blast of real hot weather hear right now and im missing out my run about blew a cdi so im bike less for a few days .

On my '09 the spring never comes off (knock on chrome) but the lean angle seems too steep. Almost concerned that the bike will fall over on the left side. Is there any adjustment to the "lean angle" ?

You can grind the tab a bit or just get a shorter stand. I got one from Ebay for 40.00...
