Anybody know anything about the Screaming Eagle Tuner? I am wondering how it compares to the Power Commander? The SE book says it is for racing use only, is this true or just a disclaimer? Would use on a bike with just a set of pipes and AC change be overkill? Void warranty?
Truth is pcIII is just as good and Im pretty sure will do everything the SERT will. RACE USE ONLY big disclaimer. Yes they technically all void your warrenty, but with the PCIII you can take it off before warrenty work.
I have the SE tuner and I got it because the tech told me it was the best thing to have for possible future upgrades such as cams or new jugs or whatever. Maybe the PCIII will do this too but I like knowing for sure and my bike runs great. I have had no problems so far with my SE map.
the race tuner is fully adj. it has alot more features than any of the power comander line, now that being said check into the tts its just as good an more user freindly.

The PCIII does not do everything the SERT does.
The PCIII does nothing to the ECM, it is an add on that tricks the ECM into behaving a certain way.
The SERT allows you to actually modify the programming of the ECM.
The PCIII is quick and dirty, the SERT gives you real control and the current version of the software has a cool feature called Smart tune. You can record engine data while riding and Smart Tune will modify your VE tables based on the collected data.
OK So is SERT another name for the SE Tuner? Is the SE Tuner user friendly enough that a guy and his laptop can use it to tune his bike? The mechanic at local HD told me that I'd still have to pay him to Dyno and tune the bike after I bought the SE Tuner.
Still unsure what tts is?
I'd probably consider the PC-V rather than the PC-III. I'd guess it is a better choice.
