Default Forwards installed

Got my forward controls and heel rests installed last night. I really like the looks better and took it for about a 50 mile ride today and they are more comfortable.

They are a touch farther out than I would like so I still have the peg elevators on the way to put on. The heel rests make a huge difference.

Super easy install if anyone has been thinking of doing it. I was going to leave the mids on but think I will just throw them on for trips. I didnt like the beauty cap for the shaft so bought a little chrome adhesive piece and stuck over it for now.

Still have to get the matching brake pad but local dealer doesnt have crap in stock and Indy is closed this week for vacation.

Cool, I thought you already had forwards...

Heel rests are a love/hate thing. I tried them and didn't like them. But I do like the wider than usual pegs I have.

They look great. And he's right -- it's a love/hate thing with stirrups... I'm on the love side. Got a buddy that hated them immediately on his sporty.

Your stirrups look to be mounted lower than mine (could just be the angle of the shot though). I had mine lower at first, but raised them up higher to get somewhat of a floor board affect and it made it even more comfortable for me.

Ya I left the shift rod in it. The piece is a brake caliper insert for a Sportster, its just a little round emblem with adhesive on the back.

They are up to were my feet are at a slight more angle than what floor boards would be but close. Still playing with them some to get the best spot but not going to do to much untill my peg elevators get here so I can see how they postion me.

I am not sure how the new style heel rests are but the older style I ordered (diamond plate not offered in the new ones and I liked the slotted mounts) also move the pegs out over a inch which I like.

Mine are the same -- peg came out over an inch and you're right I liked it a lot too. Felt like I had so much more room to move my feet around.

I bought my stirrups mid-way through a trip from central Wisconsin to Baltimore. The ride back was so much better because of these.
