At this point in this old thread, I've put 2" over forks with Ricor Intiminator valves in them, have been running the bigger Darkside tires (on my third) in back, rear bike tire on the front, rear shocks tightened way up, and I still drag all the time. I weld old 3/8" head bolts under the boards as sliders. I'm on my 6th set now.
See my sig.
Zombie thread alert!
I wanted to second the fact that the primary does not give haha!
I continually drag my pegs on almost every turn.... But I've been pushing a lot harder the last few days... Trying to truly justify high end shocks to myself... I drug the primary twice in two days pretty badly... Shocks are getting ordered this week lol.

Holy crap, that's serious! I just threw Works Trackers 13.5" and haven't come close to leaning her that hard yet. I need to wait until the roads clean up a little bit more until I lean her hard like that, winters in CO leave a lot of sand and gravel on most roads, especially the twisties.

Make sure you order shocks an inch longer than stock if you want to reduce the scraping.

How do you like the trackers? It's a toss between them and ohlins emulsion units. I prefer the blacked out look of the trackers... And I'm pretty sure that they will suit what I need.... I just tend to ride my bikes extremely hard and need things to perform.
I assumed it has something to do with sitting closer to the road. I ride a Super Glide and I rarely drag the heel rests on the pegs even when I am leaned way over but I used to drag the bottom pipe when I had those Softtail Samsons on it...however, when I ride my son's Low Rider which has the same Kuryakyn heel rests but sits lower to the road, I always seem to drag the heel rests on the pegs when I get way over in a turn...same with my neighbor's Wide Glide...it also sits lower and scrapes the pegs in a hard turn like the Low Rider...

I just put them on there and my first impressions are great. I love the extra travel and the guys at Works asked me a lot of questions about, weight, riding style, travel length, and got me the shocks in a week, built to order. I spent a good amount of time at 90+ and they were solid and comfterble. I think they look pretty bitchin' too

Very nice! Love that pipe!
I just put an order in for ohlins over at motorcyclemetal.com
Howard has been a huge help so far, went through a few options and landed on the #2~#4 setup for me. 13 3/8" and valved for my riding.
Can't wait! Hoping to pick them up from him next week and have them on by next weekend when I get back home from work. I figured dragging primaries could get expensive quick haha...
