Boyz I have to say yes I grind a peg here and there, and the first to go were the kury feelers under my iso pegs, but I met a rider last year whose pegs were worn at 45 degree angles. The external top end was missing metal, and I was already freaked when he showed me the sole of his riding boots which were also worn at a the same crazy angle! Don't sweat it , it takes quite alot in most scenarios to wipe you out completely. Your peg will buckle up before lifting you off all airborne and ****........ hopefully!
Maybe you should be looking at your technique if you drag all of the time! Road racers seem to be able to turn really tight at high speed without doing it much.
Have you ever seen how high their pegs are off the ground and the short "wingspan" from peg to peg? Also sport bikes have mid mount controls that allow the rider to get off the bike WAY WAY inside a turn, changing the center of gravity and thus reducing the lean angle needed for any particular combination of turn radius and speed.
This post should be.. Who hasn't dragged a peg, I went to my dealer to find the shortest pegs I could, Still dragging them. Even now I'm thinking Mids need to go back on. ( yes make fun of me now )

I have mid pegs and some highway pegs where the forward controls would be located... I'm pretty sure my mids touch before the forwards.
This is my first Harley as I came from a sport bike,, and dragged the peg on my test ride. I was quite surprised to say the least. The guy from the dealer asked if I was dragging pegs as he heard them, I was following him. The guys said those are replaceable and are meant to do that. After looking at what you guys grind down, I'm feeling pretty good.
