Just noticed some paint blistering on my rear fender (rear-most edge). 2008 FXD, gloss black. Anyone here done any touch up work on their paint with good success? It looks like the job will require sanding about a 1/2 inch band down to the tin and then primer, paint and clear-coat.
Anyone here done this type of work before? I wouldn't mind doing it myself but I could use a couple of pointers. Can this type of 'spot' work be done without removing the fender. It's gloss black - is it better to try getting the stock paint from HD or it is easy to match with anything? And, if I just decide to punt, how much could I expect to pay a professional to do the job? Thanks.
