I have noticed the paint on my tank feels like it has a few little blems in it and while wiping it down with a micr-fiber cloth a piece just chipped right off. Now I have a chip in the paint on my tank,and that really sucks. Not sure if I can convince the dealer to fix it. I sure do hope I can. Anyone else have fun with thier paint on a new bike?

Got a 09 roadglide thats got about 19k on it. I was cleaning it one day and had a 2 inch piece of paint flake off of the rear section of the front fender. I noticed that it was bubbling all along the rear edge. I dont have any scratches or dents anywhere on the fender. I brought it to the dealer i bought it from to see what they would do about it. They told me they wouldnt cuz its 4 months out of warranty. After a very long "talk" they finally agreed it was a defect in the paint and would replace it for me. A friend had same issue and got his replaced as well. There must be a paint issue so look into it.

 

Yeah forgot to mention that the new factory painted fender had to be returned as well. There was a dime size flake of paint missing from it directly out of the box they shipped it from.
