Hi Guys..i"m in need of some help and I hope i can find it here. I put Harley's inverted front end (for softails) on my 02 FXDL, it raised the front of the bike about an inch, I would really like to lower it, but height is set by the internal cartridge...which i found out doesn't come apart. I now some of you have done this, i just need to know how...PLEASE Help!

I just looked at the install instructions and it looks like you're SOL, sorry to say. I think your only solution is 1" LONGER shocks in the rear to level everything out.
macnab...the top tree has a stop in it, cant slide past it
Jimmy...i thought about that but i'm concerned about belt angle and it hitting the swing arm, plus progessive only makes shocks that are 1/2" longer
I know i've seen it potsed here...man whenever you wanna find something
You've upgraded the front, so upgrade the rear! I absolutely love my Ohlins, but there are other options ie; Works, Ricor or Penske (ordered from not as expensive to HOLY CRAP! THAT'S FOR ONE!!!!)
As for belt angle put it on your jack and raise the rear an inch and check for clearance. Remember that under accel conditions the top of the belt is under tension.

It would be very hard to lower the Marzocchi fork but not impossible if you have money. The slider needs to be cut and re-threaded at the top (if there is enough material left, the damper rod needs to be cut and re-threaded, and you would have to have new fork tubes made -1". Of course you would have to remove the axle clamp from the fork tube which needs to have the set screw machined out with a mill. To put it in layman's terms, move on.
