I'm 6'1" , 33/34 inseam and have the HD forward contols on my SuperGlide. I would like the the extra 1.5" for mine.
You might want to try out your extended forward controls before you ditch 'em. I think a lot of it has to do with getting used to the 650 lb. bicycle your ridin'.
Also, Kuryakyn is coming out with a "switchblade" type foot peg in December 06 that will add 3" for cruisin' when you want to strech out.

I bought a 2 inch extension set from JP cycles. It was only $89 for the brake and clutch rods/plates/bolts. I used my exitsting pegs. It's a good setup. All chrome, sturdy and cheap. I was concerned that 3 inches would push the pegs forward too much. You won't have trouble selling the Kuryakyn set on the forum.
I was also concerned about the quality. They are solid, look good and haven't bent even slightly with the last 4 months of use. I figure, for $89 it was worth the gamble.
My 3" Kury extenders I felt are well made. Chrome wasn't as good as the Kustomwerks ones that didn't fit an 06, but the Kury linkages are much thicker and more sturdy.
Now I find my HD peg mounts flex, not the extenders.
I have an 06 Low Rider, and was wondering if the HD or Kury forward controls would be close to where my stock highway pegs are. I think it's in a comfy position but the HD forward controls look like they are a bit closer and lower. thanks all, and sorry for thread jacking, but if the Kury's are closer than HD's then maybe we can work something out.
