Sounds like you might have a charging problem or fused cells in your battery. Normally that large of a voltage drop would point to fused cells.

Do you have another battery to try? Also, check all your battery connections and your grounds. It might just be a loose connection, it happens.

+1 check grounds and wires for breaks/shorts or damage where the insulation may have worn through

Sounds like a bad battery to me. If you are checking the voltage at the battery terminals and it goes that low under the starter load it is definitely bad (based on a very good idle voltage of 12.9V)

and by the way, all of your fuel injection components that rely on voltage differences will be affected. This affects things like throttle position sensors and MAP sensors and could definitely keep the bike from running too even if it would start but I think it seems as if nothing is working for you, not even a light or horn. I still say battery is shot.

Check all your battery connections, check where the cables are connected on both ends. Sounds like a loose ground connection. Charging system should be fine if you are still reading voltage on the battery.

right nothing is working well turn key to acc and gauge lights will come on and then turn to the start position and nothing fused cells huh? battery is about 8 months old just crazy how the voltage will drop so low when the start button is pushed and it doesnt even atempt to try and turn over at all everything just goes off but then check the battery at the bat terminals with volt meter and it will read 12.7 or 12.8 i hate elec problems lol and the laughlin river run is this weekend lol
