Thanks any Pig, fuelmoto should be able to get me running right. I still don't know why the light is check engine light is on though. I wonder if its because the stock air cleaner sensor is zip tied now and isn't connected to anything.
As far as I know, there were only 2 O2 sensors and one was in front - near lower part of forks - and one under the seat. We never disconnected anything behind the air cleaner - although we did zip tie an auxilliary connection from behind air cleaner.
I also have the fuelmoto setup. Never had any check engine lights on. Maybe you should start at square one and redo the efi setup. It was real easy to put on so it can't take more than a few minutes and the peace of mind would be worth it. Try taking it off and see if check engine light is still on. That should tell you where to start.
Not a mechanic, I just play one on TV
Not the first time I've heard of a fuelmoto bike running way too rich and returning horrid gas mileage. Save the map on a laptop and try one of the maps that closely matches your set up, they are available on the PC website. I'd bet anything your mileage would go up without any negative effect to performance. The other option is to get a custom map, but that involves spending a few hundred bucks.
After pulling out my PCV I found a connection that was missing. Somehow it must have recently popped off. I plugged it in and my check engine light went off. I'm definitely very relieved that it wasn't anything more serious than that. Now I just need a better map so I can get more that 85 miles to a tank! Here is a pic of the connection, its the one with the white tag on it. Thanks to all who helped me out with the issue.
