I'm thinking about new tires for the Dyna. Harley sells the Dunlop D402 with their name on the sidewall. I can find the D404 online for a lot less money. Do you have any advise? Are they the same tire with the exception og the sidewall name?
The D402 is the approved Harley-Davidson touring tire.
Built with a three-ply polyester casing with two fiberglass belts, the D402 offers greater load-carrying capacity and stability.
D402 front is a 72H (783 pounds and 130 mph)
D404 front is a 57H (507 pounds and 130 mph)
D402 rear is a 78H (937 pounds and 130 mph)
D404 rear is a 74H (827 pounds and 130 mph)
The D402 is a stiffer side wall to accommodate the heavier bikes.

I have ran the D404 and the front tire was my problem, the tire just was not stiff enough, the rear tire seemed fine. I ended up going with a Pirelli Night dragon 180/60HB17 9but that was just 10mm wider than my stock tire.
