Stock springs handle that cam?? I was going to go with the wood 7 but didnt know if the stock springs could handle it? You know, what the hell if Im going to pull the head I might as well replace the v-springs myself.
Would it be to much to ask for a video of it running to hear how the engine sounds at idle, I would like a little loope to the engine. Plus was wandering how it sounds with that +4 advance in there.
That +4 is really helping you I just did the math and it looks like you only lost 5 psi of cranking psi and only .18 compression.
How is throttle response? Hows cruising to roll on full?
I hear all you saying to get the tunner, so well my next purchase will be the tunner. Im going with the TTS. Then I'll get the True track. Or vise versa. This will set a good foundation for the engine build. Then go for the intake and exhaust.
Thanks for all you guys help. I do appreciate it.
I had the work done at Hillside Cycle and they said the stock springs would have no problem handling the cams. The advance gear is what really wakes them up. I am planning to go to a 107" next year with headwork. They said then I pull the advance gear out and really see what the cams can do. But to tell you the truth I am pretty happy with what I have now, although after riding it for this season Im sure I will get used to it and want more. Throttle response is great but I know you said you wanted the power to come on before 2500....this doesnt as you can see, you have to keep the revs up a little to really snap your neck back. Definitley more lopey than stock cams and meaner sounding exhaust note.
