Thanks everyone. Tinker in Oklahoma and I am Comm/Nav. If I was stationed somewhere else, I would have stayed in longer.

When I retired Sep last year my colonel asked me to serve in a civilian 20 hrs a week contract till Sep 2011...I couldn't refuse that offer!

23 years Dec '09 Crewing A10's. I was at tinker in '85-'86. (I had a 3 year break in service) Shouldn't be too hard finding a job there at AFLC or at AMARG.

Do what my Dad did. He retired at 40 (20 yrs in the Marine Corps as a 1st Sgt.) and then got a job at what was then Gulf States Utilities and "early" retired AGAIN at the ripe old age of 55. He collects two retirement checks! He raises cattle as a hobby now.
