Just curious if anyone is in the same boat as me??? Got a stock 04 88 inch with air cleaner and exhaust and got 82 horse and 85 ft-lbs is this good??? A/f ratio is now spot on at about 13.5 to 1... Picked up 7 horse and 4ft-lbs.... Is this good for an otherwise stock 88???? Im pretty happy cause thats close to one hp per cubic inch at the wheel...??? At least for an otherwise stock bike??
Thats why im asking.. Seems high but i bit the bullet and had the supposed best shop in town tjne it with my pcv i got from fuel moto... I am very happy and i know thats all that matters but numbers seem high.. I asked the actual tuner and he said it was pretty normal for an 88.. Btw i ran a 1200 nightster up to 100mph prior to tune and was pulling away steadily.. I know thats not a great feat of performance but seems good against a 1200 sporty!!!!
id say the numbers are little high for stock 88 theres guys on here with the 96 newer motors that are not pulling those numbers.
thats why this whole dyno deal has me baffled. Either (A) the two correction factors your talking about are creating some bullshit numbers or (B) one dyno tech vs another dyno tech knows a hell of alot more and is getting better numbers.
Pretty sure its std but either way at 5% difference it still seems high?? These guys are the best in the area and they have the newer software from dynojet that helps to suggest a map.. But either way it would still put down about 78 horses.. Seems high based on other numbers ive seen on here and the tech said it was about normal?? Maybe theyre that good??? I know that there is no black magic behind closed doors tricks.. They allow you to sit and watch via a remote display about 10 feet from the dyno... Outside the room of course.. They seem knowledgeable and very couteous??? Even though i bought the pcv from fuel moto... I have access to a mustang dyno and the bike pulled 70 horse last year with stage one and pipes and no tuner and from what i hear they (mustangs) read lower #'s than dynojets??? Either way the bike does run much better as they leaned the mix out from about 11 to 1 to around 13.5 to 1 and the a/f line is almost a straight line..
