New Dyna...In order to be really relaxed without stretching, I need about three more inches of pullback. Any recommendations for bars? I would like to avoid cable replacement, but I may not be able to in order to get comfort.

Thanks in advance.

Oh..here is the bike..

I have mounted FatBoy/Softail handlebars on my FXD2003 and don't regret I did!

I didn't have to change stock cables.

The pull-back offers me a nice relaxed seat; not shure howfar the pullback is though....

Here's how I found the most relaxed position on my bike:

Put your bike on the lift, sit on it, close your eyes and stretch your arms with relaxed shoulder/neck muscles towards the handlebar.

Open your eyes in this position and check if your handlebar has to be adjusted to this position.

If necessary make the adjustment and try it out on your next ride.

You could easily get some pull back risers and be done with it...

...for handlebars I would suggest mini apes, (I did that and am happy with the comfort factor), but that's gonna require some cable changes.

Cheers,

Tom

In the HD catalog I see some risers that bring the bar back 4 inches. I will look into that...or bars if that is not the best solution.

Before I mounted the softail handlebar I used these with my stock handlebar:

These risers will turn over the handlebar clamp mounted speedo some degrees which makes it difficult to read the speedo in the 10 - 2 range.
That's why I decided to change back to the chrome 1.5 inch risers and the softail handlebar.....

Well they look a lot like the pull back risers in the catalog. If it messes with the speedo, then I will have to come up with a different solution. I will talk to the parts guy at our dealer. They are good guys. Either way, I have to have the controls back toward me.
