Bub Straight Away exhaust
So, I wrote in another post that I got my system on and everything was great.
Two weeks later there are some issues. Wavy chrome on the outside of the heat shields towards the back...and some weird flapping sounds when I back off the throttle. I have no leaks anywhere. Could be internal or just the way they are. Also, they got somewhat louder for sure over the past two weeks. And I can now hear a bit of metalic higher pitch air moving sounds (almost like a small intro of a whistle) sometimes. I really was going for the deep dull sounds of the old Rinehart slip-ons I had before, but these are sounding more like V&H with more of a sharp deep sound.
Oh well....I've emailed BUB about it. Apparently if you install and run the pipes to hear them, you've forfeited your rights on defects and replacements?? That doesn't sound very American to me. Will let you know how they respond...I'm reserving my judgment on BUB as a company, their quality control, and their overall value until I hear back from them.

I pounded (softly) on them a bit and found a clank sound coming from the front shield. Reworked the hose clamps and tightened them up...hopefully it eliminates the funky sound since at the tip the heat shield was a little off center.
Got the email back from Bub...they said some of the wrinkles in the chrome could be from the welding of the inner hose clamp brackets and it's completely normal. Completely normal to have WAVY chrome???? The last BUB system I'll buy.
